Postdoctoral Fellow

Services the Post Doc provides include:

Individual therapy and group therapy with children, adolescents, and transition-aged youth; case management; crisis intervention; consultation; family therapy

Team Lead responsibilities: consult with school administration, administrative oversight of Intern and Practicum students working in the ASD outpatient program as well as of intakes to the program. Presentations at didactic seminars.

Possible opportunities to provide psychological assessment services to children

 

Training provided includes:

  • Individual supervision
  • Didactic Seminars
  • Clinical and Professional Development Seminar
  • Assessment Group Supervision (optional)

 

Stipend and Benefit Eligibility:

The stipend for this full time position is $35,000.00 with an additional $1,200.00 stipend for benefits. Part time is an option, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply and specify this in their cover letter. The stipend will be prorated based on amount of hours per week.

Our clinic is closed during the winter break, one week for Thanksgiving break, one week for Spring break, and there are additional school holidays off. 

You will receive 10 days of sick leave and 1 personal day per school semester.

Oakes will also provide study materials for the EPPP as well as will pay for your first licensing exam up to $650.00 if the exam is taken during the training year.


Qualifications:

  • Completion of Doctorate
  • Previous clinical work with children or adolescents
  • Experience working with ASD population; passion for working with clients on the Austim spectrum and expertise is preferred
  • Experience and understanding of group and/or family and system interventions
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • Self Driven and Curious about exploring innovative treatment approaches
  • Experience working and consulting in a school setting
  • Experience with Medi-Cal documentation and/or Avatar is preferred
  • Individuals who thrive in flexible environments, who will bring their creativity and professional interests, and who have a desire to continue learning and growing while supporting the development of the ASD program are encouraged to apply
